ESU 50321 Cube Speaker


 
 



ESU has recently released a new speaker that is worth a few words on the net.

As you may know, I am a huge fan of the so-called "Sugar Cube" Speaker and I offer a similar product in 4 sizes and 8 baffle configurations under the SBS4DCC brand.


The ESU offering uses the same 11x15mm speaker body as the SBS4DCC, CT Electronik, and Zimo models.




Here is the top side of the ESU 50321 Cube Speaker.






Here is the bottom side of the ESU 50321 Cube Speaker.


The only difference between the four brands of the 11x15mm Cube speaker I carry is the plastic box that makes the sound chamber.

The ESU model offer a nicely designed sound chamber that allow the height of the sound chamber to be tailored to the space available in your installation.

Using a special top plate, you can also make a Close-Coupled Twin Chamber.

It is also important to note that the speakers can be wired in series or in parallel when used with ESU LokSound sound decoders since the Loks are rated for a speaker impedance of 4-16 ohms.
