Sound Files

All files on this page are created by SBS4DCC for use with the ESU LokSound v4.0 line of DCC Sound decoders.

The files can be easily converted for use with ESU LokSound v4.0 L, v4.0 XL and v4.0 Micro decoders using the ESU 53452 LokProgrammer and software.

The sound files are offered free of charge for the personal use and pleasure of my customers.

SBS4DCC will load any of these files on a new ESU LokSound v4.0 decoder purchased from my store upon request.

A modest surcharge may apply to load the files on any other decoder.

The ESU LokSound v4.0 decoders will still cost you however (he says with a smile)...

This is simply a random collection of custom ESU LokSound v4.0 sound files with niche applictions that I have built to fulfill customer requests.

Here are a couple of sound file options for the ever-popular RDC you might find appealing.

RDC1

So this one is pretty close...

It is built from a DB Class V36 prototype that utilizes dual Inline 6 Cylinder Diesels and Hydraulic Transmission which would be very similar to the RDC drivetrain and operation.

Horns and bells have been updated to North American prototypes.

Default horn is the Leslie A200 found one many as-delivered prototypes.

Default horn is the Nathan P3 believed to be appropriate for the SP prototype

I just like this version better...

It is built from a DB Class V36 prototype that utilizes a single Inline 6 Cylinder Diesels and Hydraulic Transmission which would be very similar to the RDC drivetrain and operation.

This file is developed in the same way as my Dual Diesel Files in that there are two prime movers that have to be started independently. I just like the way it works and sounds a little better.
